—John E. Wool Council, No. 6, O. U. A. M., had a pleasant time at their rooms on Monday evening, the occasion being the second anniversary of the organization of the council. The program included prayer by Rev. Dr. G. P. Tyler, an address by Chas. Austin, a solo by Clarence Shafer, a declamation by Isaac Whitwell, a solo by Chas. Thompson, addresses by Rev. A. H. Eaton, cornet selections by Prof. Jackson, reading by Mrs. Stephen Hollaway, a bass solo by Wm. Polhemus, and addresses by J. W. Forrest and J. T. Ross. Secretary Rounds read his report, which showed the council to be in sound condition. A fine collation was served to all present.

—John E. Wool council, O. U. A. M., held to-day a picnic at the Casino rink. The picnic was postponed from last Saturday, owing to the weather.

—A beautiful flag was presented to Gen. John E. Wool council, No. 6, O. U. A. M., of this village, after the parade in Troy Monday. The flag was given by J. C. Sherwood, of Stamford, Conn., to be presented to the council having the largest percentage of men in line in the parade. Every member of the Lansingburgh council was in line, their percentage being 100. The beautiful emblem was presented by G. H. Burton in a neat speech to which Charles M. Austin responded in an appropriate manner.
