Dr. Seth P. Welch (abt 1825-1890)

TROY, Oct. 23.—Dr. Seth P. Welch for 45 years a prominent dentist of Rensselaer county, died at his home in Lansingburgh this morning, aged 66 years. Dr. Welch was ex-president of the village of Lansingburg [sic] and was one of the oldest dentists in the state.

—The funeral of Dr. Seth P. Welch, who died last Thursday, was held on Sunday afternoon from his late residence, No. 573 Second avenue. The services were conducted by Rev. Joseph Waite, of the Unitarian church, of Troy, who was the pastor of deceased. A delegation from the Albany and Rensselaer County Dental Association attended the funeral. The remains were interred in Oakwood Monday morning [section E 114].
