In addition to the inspection of the factory and power plant there will be the formal dedication of “Ford Park,” which consists of about fifty acres of wooded and level land at the northern end of the Ford Green Island property, the use of which, through the generosity of Mr. Henry Ford, is given to the public for picnics, outings, family gatherings and general recreation.

Ford Park Proving Delightful Spot for Outings—Picnics Held […]
Ford Park on Green Island yesterday was the scene of many basket picnics. At an early hour in the morning every table and fire place was taken. Many automobile parties enjoyed the grove and with the swings and other amusements there, the children had good times. Good drinking water and plenty of firewood may be obtained there.
