Eugene P. Wiseman Elected President at Organization Meeting Last Night—Constitution Was Adopted.
Eugene R. Wiseman was elected President of the Lansingburgh Community Association at an organization meeting last night in the Lansingburgh Junior High School. Other officers elected included:
Vice President, George S. Reynolds; Secretary, William S. Higgins; Treasurer, Clyde W. Hear; Directors, 15th Ward, Richard Bibb and Frank Ribley; 16th Ward, C. J. Cleary and Otto H. Jensen; 17th Ward, George S. Van Buren and Henry M. O’Bryan.
The association adopted a constitution at last night’s meeting that contains the following objects: Creating civic pride in this section, promoting proper educational facilities and sponsoring projects to make Lansingburgh most attractive to new residents.
A resolution was adopted by the organization, to be sent to John Knickerbacker, expressing appreciation for the land recently given to the Board of Education.
About 100 men were present at the meeting. Membership in the association is open to all men over 21 years of age in this section.
Clyde W. Heer spoke on “How a Junior High School Will Affect Realty Values in Lansingburgh.” After the business session refreshments were served by the ladies of the Parent-Teacher Association.
